LaTUCS Semester 1 2019 Concert:
Revolution in Rhapsody

The first LaTUCS concert of the year was held on Thursday the 23rd of May at 7:30pm in the Agora Theatre on campus.

The concert was n exhibition of choral arrangements of modern pop songs that were loosely connected through the theme of supporting others in a community.

The repertoire included:
Walking on Sunshine, by Katrina and the Waves
True Colours, by Cindy Lauper
Bohemian Rhapsody, by Queen
Shosholoza, a traditional South African folk song
What a Wonderful World, by Louis Armstrong
& Laudate, the Australian intervarsity choral society's anthem


 


The concert was spaced out with some fantastic solo performances from a few different members of the choir, including the pianist herself.
Solo performances included:
Brave, Originally by Sara Bareilles performed by Clare Keogh
Sun, originally by sleeping at last performed by Anna bratchford 

Rolling in the deep, originally by Adele Performed by Lillian Li
Desperado, originally by the eagles, performed by Madison Lemaire
The Gambler, originally by Fun performed by Riley Sutherland



Despite a last minute change of location, and various technical issues, we pulled it off in a big way!
The concert was a roaring success! Looking forward ot the next one.
