The 2020 National Reconciliation Week theme is In This Together and so, this year, La Trobe University Student Union (Bundoora), LTSU City Campus, Shepparton Students' Association and Mildura Students' Association have all come together to put on a program of activities to commemorate Reconciliation Week, designed especially for you.
Reconciliation is a big topic – so every day we’ll be sharing a nifty ‘Explainers’ on various subjects and ‘Did You Know’ facts relating to each campus, as well as recommendations of movies, TV shows, art exhibitions, music and food to help you connect with the week.
On Film Friday, we’re launching our ‘host your own’ free online screening of the extraordinary ‘Black Divaz’, in conjunction with LTSU Queer and LTU Cinema.

-- What is National Reconciliation Week? --
National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The dates for NRW remain the same each year; 27 May to 3 June. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey— the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.
This year's theme is #InThisTogether, encouraging all Australians to reflect on the part they play – whether big or small – on our journey towards reconciliation. This unity of purpose creates a shared sense of belonging and identity; and this identity must value and include the histories, cultures and rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
For Australia to become a truly complete nation, it will take the commitment and contribution of all of us.
