Office Downsizing

Yesterday, the LTSU said goodbye to our beloved offices and took the first steps into a new era of student representation at La Trobe.

Let me be clear, this is not a situation we wanted and it isn't a choice we would have made. Yet, on what should have been a sad day, there were smiles on every face.

Because the LTSU is so much more than our office space, it is more than the funding we receive from the university.

It is students standing up for students, and we will do that no matter where we are, no matter how much the university cuts our funding.

There has never been a more important time for students to have our voices heard, to make sure we get a real say in how our universities are run, how they change in the wake of the pandemic.

The LTSU is going to fight every single step of the way to make sure that happens, because if you don't have a seat at the table, you're probably on the menu.

In solidarity,
LTSU President
