Become a changemaker...

LTSU’s governing bodies are comprised of student representatives who are elected by the student body through an annual election process. Elections are conducted in the second semester of each year and are held in accordance with LTSU Regulations.

 

2026 Elections

The 2026 La Trobe Student Union election period has now commenced. Below you will find the Notice of Election outlining the relevant details including all positions to be elected and when voting will take place. You will be able to find all the election forms here, and please note that forms will need to be submitted electronically to the Returning Officer email.

Please ensure that if you have any questions you get in touch ahead of time. Scanned and appended signatures will be accepted, however please contact the Returning Officer if you are having trouble with this.

Nominations will open for the following positions 10am Monday 10 August 2026:

  • LTSU Office Bearers including President and General Secretary
  • LTSU Student Council Representatives
  • LTSU Autonomous Committee members
  • National Union of Students Conference Delegates.

The nomination form is available below – nominations close 5pm Friday 21 August 2026.

 

Polling dates and how you vote

Polling for the LTSU elections will take place between Monday 7 September and Thursday 10 September. You will be able to vote online, with a secure voting link being sent to your student email.
