  • A free, independent legal service for students

A free, independent legal service for students

In this section

  • Student Placement Poverty
  • Know Your Housing Rights
  • 40% Student Fees to Bundoora Students
  • Inclusion and representation at La Trobe university
  • A free, independent legal service for students

The LTSU advocates for the legal service to be independent and not run by the university.

A legal service for students, run by the university is not a trusted, not accessible and is not an inclusive program. We regularly encounter students who were not able to seek support from the legal service in issues pertaining to University matters.

La Trobe Student Union acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the lands, skies and waterways across Australia. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded. We are committed to supporting the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people in our care to connect to their cultures, countries and communities.

La Trobe Student Union supports the LGBTIQ+ community and celebrates diversity.
