La Trobe Student Union (LTSU) is the peak representative body for La Trobe University students – here to stand up, speak out, and support you.
Student representation at La Trobe University is as old as the Uni itself. The first Student Representative Council (SRC) was established in July 1967, becoming the Student Union in 1971.
Student representation has helped shape learning, wellbeing, policy, structure, partnerships and university buildings. Over six decades, La Trobe Student Union has been renowned for its student activism, helping fight for the rights of students and the wider community.
The LTSU is the largest of any student or staff representative body at La Trobe university. The LTSU incorporates the International Students Collective (ISC) and Mature Age Students Organisation (MASO). The LTSU is a vibrant, forward thinking organisation where students and LTSU staff work together to make the student experience at La Trobe university an empowered one.
