TERMS AND CONDITIONS
LTSU Easter Egg Hunt Giveaway 2026
1. Event
This event is run by La Trobe Student Union (LTSU).
2. Event Period
The LTSU Easter Egg Hunt Giveaway will run from:
Tuesday 31 March 2026 to Thursday 2 April 2026
Eggs must be found and redeemed during the event period and within the specified redemption hours.
3. Location
Eggs will be hidden around the La Trobe University Bundoora (Melbourne) campus only.
Prizes must be redeemed at the following location:
LTSU Office
Level 2, Agora East (above the post office)
Access via the stairs next to Bachelor of Coffee.
4. Redemption Hours
Eggs can only be redeemed during the following times:
10:00am – 4:00pm during the event period.
Eggs presented outside these hours will not be eligible for redemption.
5. Eligibility
Participation in this giveaway is open only to current LTSU members. Participants may be required to provide proof of student identity or membership at the time of prize redemption.
6. Participation Rules
- Purple Easter eggs will be hidden around campus during the event period.
- Participants who locate an egg must bring it to the LTSU Office during redemption hours to claim the prize contained within or associated with the egg.
- Maximum one (1) prize per student is permitted.
- Participants attempting to claim multiple prizes may be disqualified and any prizes may be withdrawn.
7. Prize Conditions
- Each egg corresponds to one prize.
- Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
- Prizes must be accepted as awarded.
- LTSU reserves the right to substitute prizes with items of equal or greater value if necessary.
8. Egg Handling
- Eggs must be presented in their original condition to be eligible for redemption.
- Eggs that are damaged, altered, or suspected to have been tampered with may be deemed invalid at the discretion of LTSU.
- Eggs found after the event period or outside campus may not be eligible for redemption.
9. Conduct and Safety
Participants must behave responsibly while participating in the event. Participants must not:
- Damage university property
- Enter restricted or staff-only areas
- Climb structures or access unsafe locations
- Interfere with other participants
LTSU reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches these rules or behaves in a manner deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
10. Photography and Promotion
By claiming a prize, participants agree to be photographed by LTSU staff. Participants acknowledge and consent that photographs may be used by LTSU for promotional purposes, including but not limited to:
- Social media
- Website content
- Marketing materials
Participants who do not consent to photography may not be eligible to claim a prize.
11. Event Administration
LTSU reserves the right to:
- Verify participant eligibility
- Refuse or withdraw a prize if these Terms & Conditions are breached
- Modify, suspend, or cancel the event if circumstances arise beyond reasonable control
All decisions made by LTSU in relation to this event are final and binding.
12. Liability
Participants take part in this event at their own risk. LTSU accepts no responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage incurred as a result of participation in the event, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
