Halloween Boat Party Terms & Condition
Eligibility
This event is open only to currently enrolled La Trobe University students. Student status may be verified at the time of purchase and attendees may be required to provide a valid student ID upon request. LTSU reserves the right to cancel any booking and issue a refund if a purchaser is unable to provide proof of current enrolment.
Refund Policy
Important: Tickets are non-refundable after Wednesday 21 October 2026 at 11:59 PM, but may be transferred to another currently enrolled La Trobe University student.
A full refund is available up until Wednesday 21 October 2026 at 11:59 PM, provided La Trobe Student Union receives the request in writing via email to hello@latrobesu.org.au before this deadline.
No refunds will be issued after Wednesday 21 October 2026, except in exceptional circumstances as determined by La Trobe Student Union. However, tickets may be transferred to another currently enrolled La Trobe University student by notifying LTSU in writing before the event.
Arrival & Boarding
I/we understand that the event takes place on Wednesday 28 October 2026 from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Students are responsible for making their own way to the boarding location at VH08 – 131 Harbour Esplanade, Docklands (directly opposite Marvel Stadium).
Attendees should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to boarding. Late arrivals may not be permitted to board the vessel and will not be entitled to a refund.
Ticket Transfer
Tickets may be transferred to another currently enrolled La Trobe University student by notifying LTSU in writing prior to the event.
Alcohol Consumption
Each ticket includes three (3) drink tokens, redeemable for beer, wine, or soft drink. Alcohol will only be served to attendees aged 18 years and over who present valid photo identification.
Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements apply at all times. The venue reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to any attendee who is intoxicated or behaving inappropriately.
Behaviour
All attendees are expected to behave respectfully towards fellow students, venue staff, entertainers, and LTSU representatives. Any behaviour that is disruptive, unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate may result in removal from the event without refund.
Inclusions
Your ticket includes:
- Three-hour boat cruise through Docklands and the Yarra River
- DJ entertainment
- Buffet dinner
- Three drink tokens (beer, wine, or soft drink)
- Access to all event activities and entertainment
Dress Code
Halloween costumes are encouraged but must be appropriate for a university event. Costumes must not include realistic weapons, dangerous accessories, offensive content, or items that may pose a safety risk to other attendees.
Health & Safety
Attendees should notify LTSU of any accessibility requirements, dietary requirements, or medical conditions that may affect their participation. While every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate requests, arrangements may be subject to the capabilities of the venue and event providers.
Photography & Promotion
Photographs and video footage may be taken during the event for La Trobe Student Union promotional and marketing purposes. By attending, participants consent to the use of images and footage in LTSU publications, social media, and promotional materials unless they advise LTSU otherwise.
Event Changes
LTSU reserves the right to make changes to the event program, inclusions, timings, vessel, or boarding arrangements where required due to operational, safety, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Weather & Force Majeure
The event will proceed in most weather conditions. In the event of severe weather, government restrictions, safety concerns, venue cancellation, or other circumstances beyond LTSU's control, the event may be postponed, modified, or cancelled. In such circumstances, LTSU will communicate any alternative arrangements or refund options to ticket holders where applicable.
