Feed La Trobe - Student Union Food Bank
You should never have to go without food or other necessities.
Th Student Union's Feed La Trobe program is run independently by students for students.
Research has found it's increasingly difficult for students to balance their time between study requirements and finding the income they need to support themselves. Cuts to penalty rates and inflation only add to this hardship.
What time is the Food Bank open?
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 11am-2pm
*dependent on supply & volunteers
How does the Food Bank work?
Feed La Trobe provides a range of food and other household items for you to choose from. La Trobe students are welcome to visit once per week and take one tote bag size of items away with them for free. Students are also welcome to contribute in any way they can. You can also 'pay it forward' and volunteer your time on the floor.
We want all students who visit to leave not only with the items they need but also with the feeling that they are part of a supportive and inclusive community.
Where is Feed La Trobe?
The Student Union food bank is located on the Ground Floor of Agora, Shop 113, next to the Post Office and ELT.
What can you do to help?
If you're wanting to donate food, it's preferred items are sealed in packaging with an ingredient list. Fruits and vegetables are accepted. We're unable to use leftover food.
Thank you to Food Bank Victoria, Aldi, Bread Top, Wormald and Nelson Alexander for their support.
